Victorian Walnut Serpentine Front Card Table

Raised on an ornate carved tripod base each leg having foliate carved decoration to their knees with beautiful outswept feet and unusual decorative pierced fretwork also to the legs. The whole raised on original white porcelain casters denoting its Early Victorian construction. Above is a beautiful turned ballaster stem also with foliate carved detail. This supports the folding card table top which is of serpentine outline to the front with a straight edge to the rear making this suitable for perhaps a hall table or alcove. The top itself is veneered in burr walnut which opens to reveal a beautiful green baize lined interior with walnut banding. This table is in beautiful, original condition, very versatile item being useful as a highly decorative side table or occasional table or indeed a games table. (Having a baize lined top one would be able to use a laptop on this without fear of marking it.)
