19th Century French Victorian Gilt Mirror
Very Impressive 19th Century Gilt Mirror. At nearly 5 feet tall and just over 3 feet wide, it lends itself beautifully to several applications. Most obvious is an Overmantle, but also would look stunning as a console mirror, i.e. over a chest of drawers or slim table say in a hallway? or bedroom? The original plate is very good indeed for its age with very small areas of foxing showing its authenticity and providing real character. The frame itself is about 3 3/4" wide with foliate detail and the whole surmounted by a foliate shell - just stunning! We have a burr walnut and marble topped French commode chest in stock which works really well with this - please ask for details. Height 59 " (1500mm) Width 38" (965mm)
