Stunning 19th Century gilt Cherub Chandelier A gorgeous 19th Century 5 arm gilt brass chandelier with wonderful decorative putti, 5 in total with beautiful detail each holding musical instruments, cymbals and triangles scantily dressed and extremely endearing. The 5 elegant arms having scrolling accanthus detail terminating in pretty brass candle holders, originally for candles now convereted for electricity. The finial at the base is large and well defined, again with similar accanthus detail. The central reeded slender stem terminating in upturned petal detail which is again copied at the base of the central stem. Full of wonderful detail and simply oozing quality this is an extremely rare and unusual chandelier, not overpowering in size but with bags of charm. Height 41cm Width 30cm
